If you’re seeking meaningful visibility and a platform that genuinely honors your creative voice, Artist of the Month offers a focused opportunity for recognition. Each month, Blue Koi Gallery highlights artists whose work demonstrates clarity of vision, originality, and thoughtful execution, providing a professional space for your work to be seen and remembered.

If you’re ready to share your work with a wider audience, we invite you to submit your artwork or photography and take part in this monthly feature.

Open worldwide to artists 18 years and older. All mediums and experience levels are welcome.

Entry Fee: $15 for 2 images
Deadline: Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis. Artist of the Month is selected at the end of each month.

Best in Show | 1 Artist

The top-scoring artist of the month is named Best in Show and receives:

• $100 cash prize via PayPal
• Front-page feature on the Blue Koi Online Gallery
• Showcase placement in the Artist of the Month Winner Circle
• A dedicated announcement to collectors, galleries, and art enthusiasts through our newsletter and social media
• Instagram spotlight featuring their winning artwork
• A website feature page with their best piece, biography, and links
• Direct links to their website and social media
• Digital award package including:
– Best in Show Certificate
– Press Release
– Event Postcard
• Automatic consideration for annual award.

Finalists | 4 Artists

Four additional standout artists (depending on quality of submissions) receive the following recognition:

• Website feature section including portfolio links
• Wide-reaching online publicity through gallery email announcements and event promotion

The Open Theme competition is open to artists worldwide, ages 18 and older.
We welcome both emerging and established creators working in: Any 2D or 3D Visual medium.

AI-generated artwork is not accepted. All submissions must be created by the artist and owned by the artist at the time of entry.

All submitted works are reviewed and scored by the Blue Koi Gallery panel based on:

• Creativity & Originality – A distinct artistic voice and vision
• Technical Skill – Mastery of medium, technique, and execution
• Emotional or Visual Impact – Ability to engage, move, or inspire viewers
• Composition & Design – Effective use of space, balance, and structure
• Relevance – Strong alignment with the Open Theme’s intent and artistic exploration

Scoring is conducted with fairness, transparency, and respect for all participating artists.
